Pure Water Window Cleaning, Your Questions Answered
Everything customers ask before they book, answered plainly. If yours is not here, just ask me.
The Questions I Get Asked Most
Most people have never had to think about how windows get cleaned, so pure water window cleaning throws up a few questions the first time round. Below are the ones I hear on the doorstep, answered the way I would answer them in person.

The Method
Pure water is water with the minerals stripped out of it. Ordinary tap water leaves those minerals behind as it dries, which is what causes spots and streaks. Pure water has nothing left in it to dry, so the glass is rinsed and left to dry on its own with a clear finish.
Because I do not need to. The reach and wash pole runs from 18 to 65 feet, so upstairs glass, conservatory roofs and skylights are all cleaned from the ground. That is safer for me, and it means nothing is leaning against your brickwork or your guttering.
I buy it ready filtered from a filling station and carry 1,000 litres in the van. Buying it in keeps the quality consistent.
No. The tank is my water and the generator is my power. Your outside tap and your sockets stay untouched.
That is the point of it. The glass is scrubbed with the brush head and then rinsed with pure water, which is left to dry rather than wiped. Because there is nothing in the water, there is nothing to leave a mark. Frames and sills get the same treatment.
Prices And Paying
A ground floor flat is £15, a first floor flat £17.50 and a second floor flat £20. Terraced houses start at £20, semi-detached at £25, bungalows at £30 and detached at £35. Skylights are £10 and shop fronts start from £10. Gutter clearing and jet washing are priced on quote.
You pay after your first clean and card on the day is fine. Most customers then set up a GoCardless payment for the recurring cleans, so it looks after itself and there is no chasing on either side.
Yes. 20% off your first clean for new customers, 20% for key workers, which covers NHS staff and nurses, ambulance, fire service, police and armed forces veterans, and 20% for OAPs. Refer a neighbour or friend and you get 2 months of cleans at half price when they book.
Access And Timings
Not usually. As long as I can reach the glass, including at the back, I will get on with it and let you know when I am finished. Plenty of customers are at work and never see me.
I clean the front and only charge you for the front. If I cannot do anything at all, there is no charge whatsoever. You never pay for a job that did not happen.
Yes. You get a 2 hour arrival window, texted to you the night before. No waiting in all day and no knock at 7am.
Most of my customers go monthly, which keeps road grime and rain marks under control and keeps each visit cheap. Every 6 weeks or quarterly suits quieter streets and sheltered properties. Shop fronts usually want it more often than that.
What I Clean
Yes. Conservatory glass starts at £5, conservatory roofs at £25 and skylights are £10 each. All of it is done from the ground with the extendable pole, so nobody is standing on your glazing bars.
Yes. Shop fronts start from £10, and I take on small commercial premises too, working around your opening hours. Commercial work reaches further than my domestic round, as far as SE1 and Tower Bridge.
Both. Gutters are cleared with an extendable gutter vacuum and driveways, paths and patios are cleaned with a pressure washer. Both are quoted per job, because no two gutter runs or driveways are the same.
I am based in Walworth and work Nunhead, Peckham, Camberwell, Kennington, Dulwich, Herne Hill, West Norwood, Upper Norwood, Brixton and Bermondsey.
If Something Goes Wrong
Tell me and I come back free. No arguing and no quibbling. I will get back to you as soon as I can, usually the same or the next day, and put it right until you are happy with it.
Yes. I carry public liability insurance, and Bright Light Window Cleaning London Limited is a limited company registered in England, company number 17333483.
Just me. The person who quotes your job is the person who turns up in the uniform and cleans your windows. You get the same face every visit.
